Event Management simply means managing any event successfully. The rise in social/ professional gatherings of events like Fashion shows, Cultural Programs, Charity Shows, Brand Launch, Conference, Musical Concerts, Birth Day Parties, Wedding Celebrations, Theme Parties, and Exhibition has created a greater scope for individuals specializing in Event Management.

One must be ready to work/travel 24×7. In terms of educational qualifications, various Certificates/Diploma / Degrees/Post Graduate (Degrees/Diploma) in event management are available. Students possessing a Degree/ Post Graduation in Advertising or Public Relations or Business Administration are also preferred; as event management is an integral part of the services offered by many agencies.

There are institutes which offer Part time or weekend courses. Anyone who is good at planning, organizing, and visualizing can opt for the event management profession. Formal qualification would be an additional benefit to climb the success ladder in the present competitive market scenario.
